In 2012 there is an additional bank holiday in the UK. This holiday is dedicated to the Queen\'s Diamond anniversary - 60 years of the reign of Elizabeth II. The holiday was officially celebrated on June 2-5, 2012.  And four days off were provided to the people of the country. There were a lot of holiday events across the UK: festive ceremonies, exhibitions, parties. An impressive river parade of ships was held through the Thames. There were more than one thousand yachts and boats. These events are timed to the official celebration of the birthday of the Queen, traditionally celebrated in early June.
