Russian icons have great meaning to the most of Russians. They save and support in difficult moments, give some unknown force, heal from disease. Each religious man believes that only icons, prays and great wish can help to overcome the difficulties. There are so many icons in each Russian church and temple. All of them are wonderful and have special meaning for people. All of them have their own history and the way of creation. They save Russian people from the wars, fires and disease for many years. For example, the Vladimir icon of the Mother of God was painted by the Evangelist Luke. It was brought to Russia in the beginning of XII century as a gift to Prince Mstislav. Also there are some well-known Russian icons as the Icon \"Trinity\", the Kazan icon of the Mother of God, the Smolensk icon of the blessed virgin Mary, etc. Icons are the values of purity, hope, love. And I think they never have any other meaning for people who really want to live in right, kind world.
