  • Today it is difficult to imagine that 50 years ago Moscow was not the huge sparkling multitude of lights metropolis, but rather it looked like a big village. At that time, small villages were in the place of our familiar sleeping areas. Many of them were wooden houses. At that time, they were just starting to build Khrushchev houses. There were no skyscrapers, fast food cafes, business centers and entertainment complexes. In the Moscow metro there were existed only 7 lines, and not 14 ones as now. But still, as now, Moscow was decorated with Red Square, the Moscow Kremlin, St. Basil’s Cathedral and the Novodevichy Convent.
