There are countable and uncountable nouns.

Countable nouns are for things we can count using numbers.  If you want to ask about the quantity of a countable noun, you ask \"How many?\"

example: how many books do you have? - I have 4 books.

Uncountable nouns are for the things that we cannot count with numbers.. If you want to ask about the quantity of an uncountable noun, you ask \"How much?\"

Money is uncountable because we can not count them.
