The title of my project is «Olympic Medals and Medalists».

I’ve chosen this project because I’d like to tell you about achievements of our athletes.

The Russian team has got 5 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze medals.

First medals were conquered the 9th of February.

The first medal (bronze) was conquered by a skater Olga Graf — on the distance of 3000 (three thousands) meters.

The first silver of Russia was brought by a Novosibirsk biathlonist Olga Vilukhina, she took the second place in a sprint.

And the first olympic gold was conquered by figure skaters.

Bobsledder Albert Demchenko brought the fourth medal (silver) in the evening.

On Monday a short-trackist Victor An won a gold medal on the distance of 1500 (one thousands and five hundreds) meters, and Alexander Smyshlyaev became a bronze prizewinner in a freestyle.

The 4th day of Olympiada brought Russia silver — a skater Olga Fatkulina became the second in running on the distance of 500 (five hundreds) meters.

On Tuesday figure skaters Tatyana Volosozhar and Maksim Trankov were the best in the pair figure skating.

Kseniya Stolbova and Feodor Klimov took silver.

Alena Savchenko and Robin Sholkovy conquered bronze medals.

On Thursday silver was conquered in sledding command competitions.

Also a biathlonist Eugen Garanichev became a prizewinner in an individual race.

On Friday bronze medal was conquered by Elena Nikitina in a skeleton.

And Alexander Tretyakov conquered gold medal in a skeleton on Saturday.

On Monday a gold medal was conquered by our bobsleds.

Nick Olyunin took the second place in a snowboard cross.

Also Helen Ilinykh and Nikita Kacalapov brought a bronze medal in a figure skating.

So, I hope that the Russian team will get more medals, especially gold.
